" Saint Patrick's Well Stone which was found in 1901 by Sir Thomas Drew, architect, during excavations of the River Poddle culvert in Patrick Street. It lies on a base which bears the following inscription:
This stone was found 18th June 1901 six feet below the surface on the traditional site of Saint Patrick's Well, i.e. 91 feet due north from the north-west angle of the tower
The site of the well where the stone was discovered is marked in the park next to the Cathedral."

Just den här statyn var vår guide helt lyrisk över... Hon ville att vi skulle studera den ingående för att beundra dess otroliga detaljrikedom...Min ögon föll direkt på.... Inte spetsarna på västen som hon just då pratade om... Utan...Ja något annat... Blev så full i skratt, japp... Den var detaljerad.... Mycket vackert hantverk i marmor...
